How can I give to support the work of our churches?
Members contribute to the life and work of our two churches in many different ways. Whilst the information below relates to financial giving, other pages on the site explain the variety of ways in which you can use your time and talents to support the life and mission of our churches.
Financial Giving
The costs of our Church activities and the care of our buildings are met entirely from voluntary contributions. You can help by making a one-off gift at any time. This could be at one of our regular services, or you can simply send us a cheque made payable to the Treasurer at either St Peter’s (Rob Scott), or Holy Trinity (Francis Wells).
Alternatively you can make a regular gift.
Regular Giving
There are three ways to do this:
A regular collection is taken at all services. Please use the giving envelopes provided in the pews and sign the gift aid declaration if appropriate.
By setting up a Standing Bankers Order with your bank. For further details please contact our Treasurers.
Legacy Giving
You may wish to consider making a donation to either church in your Will. Please ask your solicitor when making or changing your Will, or contact us for more information.
Tax-Efficient Giving
If you pay UK tax and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to complete and return to us a Gift Aid Declaration. This can be obtained from either Treasurer. The benefit to either church is that your gift could be increased in value by 25%. If you are a higher rate tax payer you may be able to recover this as additional tax relief through your own tax return.
If you have any questions on these, or other ways of giving, please contact Rob Scott (Robmunroscott@aol.com) or Francis Wells (fwwells@meonwood.co.uk ) as appropriate.
